Andreas Hohl was born on the 1st of January 1980 in Sri Lanka and was adopted by a Swiss couple only three weeks after. Raised in Switzerland he first studied to be a cook but beside mixing ingredients and food he soon discovered the art of mixing music. Ever since he was a little child Andreas has had a big interest in music. Like many djs his love for music dominated his youth and for Andreas this eventually resulted into a serious dj career.
After accompanying DJ Tatana for one year to her gigs throughout Switserland he got inspired to go and perform himself under his alias MR P!NK. He’s in the business no for well over eight years and played many big venues like Soudpark (Sargans) together with DJ Tomekk , Kingshouse at Bolero Lifestyle (Wintherthur) and Top 10 (Singen, DE) where the main floor was running under his own label “MR P!NK Night“ with a cheering crowd of 5500 people.
Nowadays MR P!NK is amongst the top 3 Djs in his country and does over 200 gigs a year. With performances abroad in countries like Chech Republic, Germany, Spain, Croatia and Ukraine he’s well underway to become an international star.
Alongside his dj career MR P!NK also started to provide the scene with several productions and remixes. His first EP together with Pascal Vokinger called “Notte al Club“ ended up at the 7th positions of the Musicmail-Charts which is not bad for a debut. After that his remix of “Push your Body“ and “Todo del Mundo“ were supported by djs and clubs throughout the whole of Europe. Shortly after MR. P!NK was asked to mix the house compilation “Summer End Festivals“ which got big response and even reached number 13 of the official Charts in Switserland. Other compilations like Kingshouse vol. 10 and 11 did even better with a number one position as result!
MR. P!NK has residencies at venues like Kingshouse, Starhouse, Pinkhousem, Touch the Soul and many more. Although you got to witness it yourself he can be seen as an awesome dj with an enormous positive energy. This also reflects on his personal life as he has proven by returning to his country of birth Sri Lanka several times a year to help and contribute to the (re)building of the country. This is what makes MR P!NK special and some of the few dj’s that can really say they have changed and saved a life, just like Indeep‘s classic three decades ago.
